This is the first race of the year 2009! Unlike last year we had to skipped this race due to heavy downpour. Well there were lightnings and thunder roaring the night before and we were quite worried that history will repeat again but fortunately the rain stopped and we went for the race.
Both of us participated the 10km open and it was Helen's first time non-stop 10km. As for me, it has been quite a meaningful one because there were no pain felt on my right knee. Though i still wear a knee guard but i did not felt any pain all the way till the finishing point. It has been a challenging 3 months recovering and training since i got the pain during the Standard Chartered Race in 2008.
Anyway, i feel good now and look forward to more runs this year. I saw my timing and suspect 55 mins which is quite good but still have to wait for the final result to be published on the website shortly.
What a good start in 2009.
